I had been postponing this post for too long..!Wrote half of it before entering semester 4 and apparently, my semester 4 had ended for a week and semester 5 is coming up real soon so I should immediately post this one up.. haha.. To be honest, I couldn't think of any shorter name for the title, simply because I think it would be much proper for the search engine and hopefully, it would at least be a help for my future junior especially for the ex-Diploma in TESL of KUPTM KL whom might be considering if they should take this course or not, simply because it's quite uncommon to everyone.. 

 "Isn't it safer for me to just be in TESL line?"

You guys are lucky as there will be Bachelor in TESL in KUPTM soon and as far that I know, the first batch would be this year.. I'm not sure if it's true or not but maybe you could check this personally on the website..? 

"What could I be in the future if I'm taking this?"

Well, this subject would be the route for you to become anything.. You could work on the corporate line, the media, translator; basically involving companies or you could still become a teacher if you want to but obviously, not a government ones.. According to the dean, she encouraged her students to take this course instead of TESL simply because, there's no restriction on your future and it's much more flexible in what you could be.. Plus, most our seniors do get a job immediately right after the internship, so yeah, no worries on what you would be.. Allah SWT would definitely lead you to the best, just put your best faith in "Him".

Okay so basically, I managed to skip the first two semester due to full credit transfer and I guess I should remind you that KUPTM normally changes it's course planner quite often, so there's a possibility that you would take other subject first instead of what I listed on here, but still, you will have these subjects in your future list.. I could only help you by giving a brief of what the subjects that I had taken were all about and hopefully, you would get the essential idea of how your life would be.. hehe..

i. POLITICS & WORLD CIVILISATION 
If you're not into politics, this subject might be a boring ones for you but no worries, the lecturer for this subject is such a prince charming since he tolerated with us a lot and I'm sure he will remain the same with others. Anyways, all you would be learning are the various theory of politics itself, the divisions, the wars; World War I & II, and the crisis of Middle East countries. As for the assignment, the only major ones is for your to work in a group and each of the group member needs to select a country of same continent and do some political research of the country. The rest..? It's quiz and final paper..

ii. ACADEMIC LISTENING AND SPEAKING
This is one of the subject that none should fail.. It's the easiest thing ever since all you need to do is to listen and speak.. Well, perhaps some writing but listening is the key.. 100% coursework depending on both of your skills..

iii. INTRODUCTION TO THE STUDY OF LANGUAGE 
This is one of the hard core subject but let me declare a thing.. I love this class the most, simply because of the lecturer was so kind and good in teaching.. You might struggle a bit in understanding the subject but if you're my juniors in tesl, I would say this is something similar to sociolinguistics but it's a lighter version of it.. Well, the final exam for her paper wasn't easy but at least, I scored the best for the coursework and yup, in the end, I don't care about the final much.. hehe..

iv. ENGLISH LANGUAGE EVOLUTION AND CHANGE

This one, is a killer subject of all, so far but I have to say, there were times I felt that I'm having fun studying the histories of English.. There's a final paper for this subject and the coursework wasn't my favoritism.. Furthermore, it was taught by the dean at my time, and it was hectic to manage with her schedule... There were times where we had replacement class on Saturday but the bonus thing, she provides us free breakfast of cereals and milk.. 💕

v. TAMADUN ISLAM DAN TAMADUN ASIA (TITAS) 
I personally don't favor this subject.. Well, don't get me wrong.. I love history but this one, most of it was something that we already know and lecturer was kinda dull to me.. Trust me, I only read all of the notes for the final paper by myself as I couldn't catch him in class.. He got distracted easily, often of topics and he loved talking about early marriage.. But, I had fun with the coursework, especially when we're assigned to be in a group, to shoot a video and present about the unique traditions or culture.. Mine was the best since we made some research regarding "kuda kepang" which was something new for us..,However, it's quite frightening to remember the masks or the dance since, you know, they're mystical in a way..  😅

Well, to be honest, the start of my degree wasn't really bad but for now, I'm kinda nervous waiting for my semester 4 result.. I would only update the review of semester 4 once my result is out which most probably, by next week.. It's so fast, I know... I didn't even noticed my holiday is coming to an end.. huu... Anyways, wish me luck please...! 🙈

Assalammualaikum.. 

As usual, I would be in awkward position, every single time I'm back to this space.. My life as a degree student was not a leisure anymore, as I had been spending my weekends by jotting down the notes for each subject and I had been forcing myself for not lazing around anymore.. I'm truly determined to gain at least 3.5 for every semester and I'm really working hard for it.. I do get distracted sometimes, being emotional and whatsoever but Alhamdulillah, I'm definitely growing up in composing myself and to ignore the irrelevant matters..

To those whom still reading my entries, leaving the comments and stuff, thank you so much.. I still can't do some blogwalking for this particular moment, as there's more notes waiting me to be jotted down but I truly promise you that I will definitely visit you guys once I sorted out this busy life of mine.. Just bear with me for awhile, will ya...? ☺

Anyways, since the SPM results had just been released and I had received a comment asking for advice of how I dealt with presentations and stuff, and I was thinking, why not..? I'm all up to share my tips with you and hopefully, it could be hopeful to those whom really afraid of stepping out from the comfort zone. 

1.How to boost up the confidence in speaking English..?

I do know some of you are afraid to speak English just because of the grammar error itself but actually, there's only one way to solve this problem. 

Start speaking and stop concerning on the grammar itself... People might judge, and typical Malays might laugh at you but to be honest, even some of the non-Malays and as the matter of fact, there are English netizens whom didn't speak proper English.. So why should you be afraid..? Major of these English speakers don't even bother on your grammar error so calm down.. Start speaking English, be confident that your English is good and I promise, you would notice that your grammar would slowly improving from time to time.. Practice makes perfect, remember..? 

2. How do I deal with the presentations..?

This is something that is hard for me to answer but I would try my best to help... hahaha.. So.. How do I deal with them eh..? One thing about me when it comes to presentation is that I don't practice anything at all. I think practicing ain't helpful since it would only put me in tense. So, how do I present..?

I always belief that understanding is the best instead of memorizing and with that principle, I manage to perform my presentation without bringing any paper for me to read. I always put only the keywords on the slides and let my brain do the rest. Well, this method helps me in gaining extra marks actually, since there's nothing for me to read, so by hook or by crook, all I need to do is to speak all the points from my own knowledge regarding the keywords from the slide. This method might seems impossible to you but trust me, never underestimate the power of Understanding. You might be impressed with your brain when you applied this method but of course, this method needs to be paired with confidence.. 

Umm.. Group presentation ain't a favorable task to me as I need to compose myself hard just to avoid arguments with the group members. Most of the time, these group works were evaluated individually, based on the teamwork and how you presented your part so I tried my best to perform on my part and yeah, helping the mates if I should... That's it..! Just make sure you know something extra instead of focusing on your part only.. Knowledge is always a bonus, remember that..!

3. How to be confident during presentation..?

Being an introvert, it's not easy for me to do the presentation.. You might be thinking; 

"She don't practice,no notes in hand and she just put keywords on the slides, therefore she must be having a high confident level.." 

Uhh.. No.. I'm a huge introvert by myself and I hate facing the crowds.. Presentations do made me  drowned in the nervous sea and I always make sure to do two things at the start of the presentation..

1. Pray for an ease and state in the Dua' why you should nail it. 

2. Find someone whom could help you to feel at ease..It could be your friends, or someone that you barely know and he/she is focusing on you but yet, you could remain in calmness.. Avoid looking at your crush or anyone that might pull of that nerve of yours.. Well, I always had a prince charming that manage to help me in calming down my nerve and if he's not around, I just have to find another person and normally, I'd just have to find a familiar face..😂

"Teacher, saya nak bagi duit ni kat teacher.." 

"Eh, what is this for..? A duit raya. for me.?"

"Ha'ah.. Teacher simpan je la teacher.."

Hasyir's sudden gift managed to caught her heart..It might be just a small amount of money to some people, but the random kindness had touched her heart.. On the next day, she visits the class, asking her students to hand in the books, and Chinta immediately approached her..

"Teacher, nah singgit.."

"Eh.. Dah kenapa ni..?"

"Teacher cakap semalam kalau tak hantar, denda singgit.." 

Well, she had forgotten about it at the first place, simply because she didn't mean it.. But when the students reminded her, she didn't want them to think that she's someone that could be messed with, so with heavy hearted she accepted the money and keep in a separate place, so that she won't use the money for herself but she would use the money to by extra rewards for her students.. Hasyir walked while smiling to her, holding the RM1 notes, this time, there're 3 pieces of it.. 

"You didn't finish your work too, Hasyir..?"

"Tak.. tapi cikgu ambil je la RM3 ni.. Mak saya suruh bagi duit raya kat cikgu, boleh pakai buat beli buku.." 

His random statement made her wonder, what did he told his mother about his new practicum teacher.. Another student approached her..

His statements left her in guilt.. What should she say..? How could she respond to that..?

Vagary 2 : 4 Mutiara
She had been watching the girl since the morning as she had to relief the class.. Everyone had been enjoying themselves, playing the games during PJ lesson but the little had been sitting alone at the corner.. She tried to approach the little girl but there's no voice responding to her questions.. 

Vagary - an unpredictable instance, a wandering journey.. It's all about the bittersweet of life, the school memories that is ought for her to ponder about and this is just a part of the vagary of Razanah Anis..  

Assalammualaikum.. If you're asking me to describe my 2017's memories in one word, I would say, it's priceless.. I could complain about my studies all the way, but for this community service subject, I would have to admit, it's a subject that I wish that I do not have to participate at all. When the first time I receive the news that we need to do an 8 hours of community service, I was devastated. I mean, we had lots of assignments waiting in line and here you are, pushing us to do something that we don't want to?!😶

We were thinking of a cliché service, like serving the old folks or the orphanage but rejected by our lecturer. She wanted to finish this fast and her suggestion was to do 8 hours program at the mosque but rejected by a few students, claiming that they should just pick Pengurusan Masjid if they want to be in Masjid.. Well, they got their point and somehow, we came out with this double social work; cleaning the mosque in the morning and feeding the homeless at night.

We gathered at Masjid al-Azim, Pandan Mewah at 9 am and it was actually scheduled by the mosque community itself. Well, just in case you're around the corner, you should visit the mosque every Saturday morning since it had it's own morning market, selling lots of food and you could listen to the talks while having your breakfast there.. That's is what we've been doing and turns out, we only did an hour of community service as we were asked to wait for the Ustaz of the day to finish his talk and since it was based on their instruction, we only need to clean the mosque compound.. 😴

To be honest, even it's only an hour of work, my mate and I took a long day nap as a sign we're tired for the day,. We fell asleep at 2 and only woke up at 5,getting ready for the next project, feeding the homeless.. We've promised to meet up at Masjid Negara at 9 but due to our collaborated party of the homeless  lateness, they showed up only at 10 pm..

Around 10.30 pm, we started to split up into 2 groups and walked to the Masjid Negara's front square, where most of the male homeless had their nap. We took our time delivering the foods and interviewing them. I manage to approach two guys at the middle age of 20, both of them were talking to each other and one of them was holding a smartphone. A homeless with a smartphone? Well, here' s the truth.

One of the guys came from Sabah, cheated by an agent saying that he could work in Singapore. He's apparently working nearby the Masjid Negara, having a salary of RM2000 but he sent RM1500 to his parents and survived himself sleeping there, not renting any home and surviving with the RM500. His another friend, was a guy from Johor. He used to be one of the best worker but cheated by his boss and his title was replaced by the boss' nephew. The unfairness caused him to stop trusting the company and keep searching for new work. Well, they shared lots of life experience with us and we have to say, some of this homeless could be respected.

With an hour left, we moved to the next location, Jalan Tar and it was the place where my emotions had the biggest conflict. Children at the age of 3-6 years surrounded us, asking for a piggy back and wanted us to play with them. We entertained them for a while before the rain started to pour down heavily but that didn't stop them from being loud. Their parents ignored them and just let them to be around us,

Out of all the children, I could never forget the boy whom quietly hold my shirt from the back and when I turned around, he was smiling looking at the other kids whom was running under the rain. I carried him up, and all he had been doing was sitting on my arm quietly and landed his cheeks on mine while wrapping his small hands around my neck.. And he stayed on my arms for more than 15 minutes.. 😭

I might be not hoping for this before but now, I could never be grateful than this.. I had been thinking a lot about my parents lately, how grateful am I to have a home to stay, a parents whom care and hopefully, a career for my future kids to be proud of (tak nak kalah ayat tu).. It's a night of humanity and filled with life lesson.. This is one of my 2017 best memories which I would never forget,, Ever..

I had been thinking a lot about you, and I just hope you'll grow up well...  Hopefully we would meet again sooner or later, dear boy.. 😭

The Sudden Reminder

All of the production crews were in pressure.. It's only few days before the play and everyone was playing their role perfectly, trying the best to make it a success.. Sir Zain's entrance made everyone stopped working and focused on him.. 

"Guys, I have some reminders to be delivered. Please gather around now.."

When everyone had settled down, he continued..

"Okay, saya dapat call dari pihak Muzium.. Dia suruh saya sampaikan pesan kat korang, please make sure korang tagging barang elok-elok.. Buat rekod.. Kira betul-betul.. Nanti masa kemas, make sure barang cukup.. Kalau ada lebih, jangan ambik.. Same thing to your bags.. Before balik, korang kena cek dulu satu-satu.. Jangan nanti terbawak balik bukan benda korang.. Lagi satu, kalau pergi toilet, jangan pergi sorang-sorang.. Pergi dengan member.. One more thing, just in case korang ada terjumpa gelang emas, jangan ambil.. Leave it there.. Behave perangai masing-masing masa kat sana..Lagi satu, we are not allowed to leave after 6.. Sharp pukul 6, kita kena stop.. okay?" 

28 October 2016: Rehearsal Day 

1. We were told that we're not allowed to enter the ladies' changing room, simply because it was watery.. And the room was locked before the other team started their practice.. 

2. The Laskar Sonas whom were in charge for sounds and lighting opened a remix songs while waiting for everyone to get ready..Some of the crews were having fun, dancing to the songs till suddenly, the catchy song turnged into a classic song, old songs which you couldn't recall the title.. One thing for sure, it's not even in the Laskar Sonas system and luckily it stopped after few minutes..

29 October 2016: Supposedly not the last day but sadly, it was the end.. 
3. The props team was in pressure.. Some of the props item went missing, and it's not the ordinary prop.. One of them was one of the outfit for one of the main character, a black dress!

4. The main lead whom played the part as bully victim almost collapsed herself while she's getting her make-up. and she claimed that the she felt she'd fallen too into the character, a weak girl..

5. There's a white melur left by unknown on the table for the props.. No one dared to touch it..

6. It was in the middle of the play when two of our team were possessed, and we had to cut our final scene, leaving the stories without final chapter and replace it with humor to cover the truth from the crowds..

Moment of truth: 
The ladies' changing room was owned by "someone" , sort like the leader there.. The "someone" possessed one of the crew, claimed that she hated us for making noise at the place and wanted us to leave, but she refused to leave the body.. It took hours for her to leave and she only returned the girl to us when we called someone from Darul Shifa'.. From 4 pm to before maghrib, she really took her time to feel the moment..

Remember the big mirror I told you which I hated the most? My instinct was right.. She made her runway to the big mirror and keep saying how pretty she was, expressing her love to the body.. The forbidden ladies' changing room? It was her room..

She talked in Malay-Javanese ancient language, and she appeared as a graceful lady from the way she talked and walked, she even danced on the stage when the stage was empty..  (probably she's the palace dancer, keraton perhaps..?)

The actress whom almost collapsed? Our sketch was opened by the girl, walking down the stairs of the seats while singing rain rain, go away and guess what? One of lecturer said, " saya tak nampak awak yang turun tangga tu Izzati.. Saya nampak perempuan, pakai vail, pegang bunga yang turun tangga tu.." 😨

Oh, and the last chapter which was not be able to perform, the Laskar Sonas showed us the script that they had and guess what? According to the script, we completed the story successfully and the last final chapter which was supposed to be done had clearly vanished from their record.. However, the missing chapter did exist during the practice section, which was actually few minutes before the show started.. How did it went missing..? Nobody knows..

I couldn't tell the full exact story but here's a brief of it, focusing on my team since the other team managed to complete their story with only little disturbance since their's was in morning session.. .. Due to this incident, we had to cancel out final day and the whole semester burden turned into tears.. Up till now, we're still in heartbreaking mode.well, no more Muzium Negara for me.. Goodbye MN..
